The transaction fee is where the real difference is
On subscription the two are close: Pembee Standard is $45 a month and ClassForKids starts “from” $47 (converted from £34.99). The number that decides your real cost is the fee taken from every online payment, because it scales with your bookings and never stops.
Pembee charges 0.59% on Stripe card payments. Add Stripe's standard UK rate of 1.5% + 20p and a £60 booking costs about £1.45 in fees. ClassForKids advertises “from 2.5% inc. Stripe” but calls that an estimate to be confirmed by an account manager. Clubs tell us the standard rate being quoted in 2026 is 4.7% inc. Stripe plus 20p per transaction, which makes the same £60 booking cost about £3.02. Over a term that gap is bigger than the subscription.
