- How quickly can I get set up on Pembee?
- Most small business owners are taking real bookings the same day they sign up. Initial set-up takes around 10 minutes: create your activity listing, set your pricing, add your attendee questions and share your booking page link. There's a step-by-step set-up guide and our team aims to reply within a few hours if you get stuck.
- Does Pembee take a cut of my bookings?
- No. Pembee charges a flat monthly subscription, regardless of how many bookings you take. Card payments run through Stripe at standard Stripe rates - we don't add a per-booking fee on top, and we don't take a percentage of what you sell.
- How does payment processing work?
- We integrate with Stripe, which processes payments on over three million websites worldwide. Stripe pays you directly on a rolling basis - typically every two to seven days depending on your country. Money never sits with Pembee - it goes straight from your customer's card to your Stripe account to your bank. You can also enable offline payment methods (cash or bank transfer) and manually record those in the same dashboard.
- Can I offer payment plans, deposits or installments?
- Yes. Split a block of sessions into monthly installments, take a deposit and balance, or run monthly memberships. Failed payments retry automatically and customers get reminder emails, so you're not chasing payments manually.
- Can I sell session passes and discount codes?
- Yes. Sell session passes where customers pre-pay for a set number of credits (typically expiring after around 12 months) and credits deduct as they book. Create discount codes that only work in a certain date window or above a minimum booking amount, and set up automatic discount rules for bookings over a certain size or for multiple attendees.
- Can I customize the questions I ask at checkout?
- Yes. The attendee questionnaire is fully configurable - ask for experience levels, medical details, dietary requirements, signed waivers or anything else you need. Customers can also upload files (certifications, consent forms, photo ID). Information is saved on the customer's account, so returning customers update once instead of re-completing the form every time.
- Can I give staff access without showing them financial data?
- Yes. Add admin accounts for staff or instructors and assign roles, so each person sees only what they need. For example, give a coach access to their session roster without exposing revenue or payment information.
- Can I email customers who've booked a specific session?
